Independent platform prototype for youth participation

Youth AI Platform

An independent participation prototype that groups local concerns raised by young people according to geographical and thematic similarity.

Challenge

Similar neighbourhood problems may be described by different people in different words. Reviewing each submission separately makes shared needs harder to identify.

Approach and architecture

The platform groups submissions using geographical proximity and semantic similarity. Geospatial data is processed with PostGIS and text similarity with pgvector. AI supports classification and summarisation, but does not make decisions or set priorities.

My contribution

I developed the product concept and designed the data model, core governance rules and mapping approach. The idea grew from observations made during my volunteering.

Outcome and current status

The core grouping by geographical and semantic similarity works at prototype level.

Project origin

This is a personal, independent prototype. It is neither an official project of Çankaya Municipality nor part of an institutional partnership.
