Self-Built MIDI Keyboard
A functional MIDI keyboard that I designed and built, including the key matrix, electronics and enclosure.
Approach and architecture
I developed a matrix-scanning structure for the keys and implemented MIDI communication using an ATmega328P. I also built the physical enclosure.
Outcome and current status
The result was a functional instrument prototype that communicates with a computer and can be played.
Technologies used
- ATmega328P
- Matrix scanning
- MIDI protocol
- Enclosure build
